4. Mar 17,  · Earth Opera released a self-titled record before this one, which is rather different from its follow-up, but definitely solid. Both albums were reissued on compact disc by Wounded Bird Records in , but it looks as though The Great American Eagle Tragedy has since gone out of print. Fortunately, you can find original copies of the album.

5. Originally I thought that "The Great American Eagle Tragedy" was clearly the best of the two albums Earth Opera managed to release in After having re-listened to both albums on the 2 on 1 CD re-release, I now probably am more inclined to think that the first album as a /5(10).

9. Lyrically both EARTH OPERA albums are rather similar with their hardcore anti-war stance but musically THE GREAT AMERICAN EAGLE TRAGEDY is by far the more consistent of the two. Despite more instruments and musicians finding their way into the mix, the album is just simply more focused albeit far less experimental/5.
